SITUATION
Chop Suya is a new African food truck company in the DMV area specializing in 'Suya,' a West African grilled skewered beef delicacy popular in countries like Cameroon and Nigeria.TASK
My task was to create a logo for Chop Suya that embodies the brand by blending the aesthetics of vintage barbecue logos with a modern touch to align with current design trends.
ACTION
I focused on simplicity, ensuring the design is clean and distinctive, incorporating only a few key elements related to grilling and barbecuing.RESULT
I chose butcher knives as the primary cooking element for the design and incorporated the letter 'X' as a nod to the vintage barbecue logos I researched before starting the project. Additionally, I added an overlay of particles to represent the famous suya spice, giving the logo texture and character.
